Jumptown Big Band will be performing at St. Luke Lutheran Church on Sunday June 26th 11:30am to 1:00pm for a church picnic. Come hear the band perform music in a relaxed concert “luau” setting and meet some wonderful members of the church congregation. The band is most appreciative of the support St. Luke has provided to us the past few years and we are honored to be asked to play for their event. We will be performing a variety of swing, latin, and jazz tunes in contribution to what will be a fun family event for the church. We will also have with us a fantastic guest vocalist, Marky Mason Winger, to sing some exciting vocal arrangements. St. Luke Church is located at 4595 SW California St, Portland, OR 97219.

Jumptown Big Band will be performing for an afternoon Spring Dance at Cerimon House Sunday May 29th 1:30pm to 4:00pm. We will be returning to Cerimon House following a great turnout for our Valentine’s Dance. We will again be featuring a wide selection of dance band favorites as well as some rarely performed classic arrangements from the chart topping big bands of the 1940’s and 1950’s.

Cerimon House is a nonprofit Humanities and Cultural Arts organization focusing on community, creativity, curiosity, and ceremony. Cerimon House aspires to create space for a renewed humanity. This building has become a convening space for events that exalt the human story and brings about conversations that inspire.

Jumptown Big Band will be performing for a swing dance at Cerimon House this Valentine’s Day – Sunday February 14th 2:00pm to 4:30pm. In addition to swing, the playlist will include cha-cha, waltz, latin, and vocals from Portland big band singer Claudia Knauer.

Cerimon House is a community and cultural event center located in what used to be known as the Alberta Lodge. Built in 1924, this building is a remarkable assembly hall located in the heart of the Alberta Arts District in NE Portland. It is fast becoming known as one of the best venues for arts, lectures, weddings, and entertainment.

Jumptown Big Band will be performing at The Great Gatsby: A Star Affaire 2015 sponsored by PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center Foundation on Saturday, December 12, 2015 starting at 6pm at the Cowlitz Regional Conference Center in Longview, Washington. In addition to live music, the evening will feature cocktails and dinner along with live and silent auctions. This is a benefit event for the Foundation’s Comprehensive Pediatric Campaign focusing on the everyday chronic conditions our children face as we strive to keep our children healthy and ready to learn. Show your support for the Foundation by purchasing tickets and donating as indicated on the Foundation’s website.

Jump­town Big Band will be performing at the event Victory On The Homefront at Oregon National Guard, Camp Withycombe in Clackamas on Sun­day November 1st at 4:00pm. This event, sponsored by “Helping Men Heal”, honors non-profit organizations that support our military service members, the professionals within these organizations who go above and beyond, and the uniformed service members & their families who have not only survived but overcome their invisible wounds. The band will be providing music for your listening and dancing enjoyment prior to the formal awards ceremony. Jumptown Big Band is proud to perform for Cerimon House again as they continue their quest for renovations of the facility. Please come check out this NE Portland hive of cultural arts and entertainment.

Jumptown Big Band will be performing for an open house event for the Cerimon House Saturday November 16th 4pm to 6pm.  The Cerimon House is gearing up to be a cultural showcase in Portland for performing arts, art exhibits, lectures, and more.  This is a free event to provide exposure to this new venue that is currently being renovated.  The event is free but donations are welcome. Jumptown Big Band will be performing for the 70th anniversary celebration at St. Luke Lutheran Church on Sunday October 20th noon to 2pm.
